

We will now be coming here regularly from now on and look forward to our next visit. So it was such a pleasant surprise that we entered somewhere so different. We went into wetherspoons across the road before we came in here for breakfast but refused to eat in there due to awful customer service. The food was delicious as well bacon was cooked perfectly. Not only did u get a cup but they made me a fresh coffee to take away in it. I asked if they had a takeaway cup so I could take the rest of my coffee with me. As we left we were handed some pastries for our kids to take away for later again a very thoughtful gesture. All the staff in there were very friendly and helpful. We were served by Tom who was so attentive and om offering to help set up the highchair which they cleaned and sanitised in front of us to offering to get our baby anything Nothing was too much trouble and when I asked if they could make scrambled egg without milk on my plate so I could give my baby some not only did they oblige but put it in a separate bowl so it wouldn't touch any of the other food which was a very thoughtful touch. Just an example of the many ways Gail dropped the ball with our communications. The cost of the bar service was exorbitant, and I was told by guests they ran out of soda immediately soda was the thing I asked Gail to stock up on when she asked what people will drink the most. It seemed most guests liked the food but my husband and I were not impressed as the paying customers. For weeks she treated us like nothing more than a burden and it breaks my heart we had been saving for years and were looking forward to having the very best local caterer at our wedding! Personally, my fiance and I felt that Gail had a negative attitude from the first meeting to the last, but we kept telling each other if the food is as outstanding as the reviews it will be worth it! Unfortunately it was absolutely not worth the high cost or the tears. The only kindness she showed us in the 2 months we worked together was slightly discounting this extra bill. She gave such a wildly inaccurate estimate that she asked to charge us an additional 10% after the event.

She had no desire to work within our budget and caused a lot of headaches with our rental coordination. R, the positive comments about Gail's business end there.
